Queue for Status Quo ticket sale outside the Links Hotel in Montrose

 

Status Quo fever hit Montrose today as fans queued up outside the links hotel as tickets for the band’s Montrose Music Festival concert went on sale this morning.

Quo fans turned out in their numbers to get a ticket, some even queuing as early as 6.30 a.m. in the hotel’s car park.

Tickets were also available on the Internet and 1,500 sold online in 20 minutes.

Rock legends Status Quo will take to the stage a the East Links in a special arena on Friday, May 23, as they headline this year’s Montrose Music Festival (MoFest).

David Paton, chairman, said: “It’s amazing.

“We have had people waiting to queue in Links Car Park this morning since 6.30 a.m., which is scary but great.”

A spokesperson for MoFest posted on their Facebook Page: “Wow... what a morning, thanks to everyone who has purchased tickets already.”

Around 800 tickets were sold at the Links Hotels and another 250 will be on sale tomorrow.
