The next in the series of Montrose Society winter talks will be a premiere for the people of the town.
Local collector Mike Murray will share some of the highlights from his extensive collection of bottles, jugs and crocks –all bearing the name of the Royal Burgh.
A life-long enthusiast, Mr Murray has amassed a unique collection of objects which all carry the name of the town of his birth.
Recently he has started a photographic archive, and some of these pictures will be used during the talk.
He will also have a selection of his prized objects on view to the audience.
This is the first time that the collection has been seen in public, and the talk promises a fascinating insight into the world of Montrose collectibles and memorabilia.
The talk will be held in the Legends Suite, The George Hotel on Thursday (February 20) at 7.30 p.m.
Visitors are welcome at a small fee of £2, and refreshments are available.
