Two new stallholders at Montrose Farmers’ Market

There will be two new stallholders at the Montrose Farmers’ Market this month and organisers are delighted to introduce Strathearn Distillery from Methven in Perthshire, which is already a firm favourite at the Forfar market.

You will find three different gins with very different flavours. Oak Highland is smooth with a hint of oak mixed with Juniper and Citrus. Heather Rose has light fruity notes of honey and lavender; it is light and sweet but has a hint of spice. Homecoming has been hand crafted for Homecoming 2014; it is an eclectic mix that reminds you of sherbet dip!

There is a treat for nature and garden lovers as Angus girl Kelly Callwood brings a splash of summer with fresh flowers grown on the outskirts of Forfar. Kelly has recently started her Blooming Bees business attending some local events and market organisers are delighted to have her attend the market.

Ashbrook Nursery will also have a fantastic selection of herbaceous plants and hanging baskets perfect for adding some extra colour to your summer garden.

The market is always looking for new stallholders and new products and if you would like to attend either Montrose or Forfar markets you can apply at the information stall or by e-mail to angusfarmersmarket@gmail.com.

Local groups looking to raise awareness for their clubs can also apply to come along with information for the market customers.

The Angus Farmers’ Market can be found on the first Saturday of the month in Montrose and the second Saturday of the month indoors at Forfar both from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
