Two pensioners in Angus have been knocked to the ground by four Staffordshire bull terriers in the last two weeks and the incidents could be linked, say Police Scotland.

A 71-year-old man walking his dog down Palmerston Street in Montrose was knocked over by the dogs who were off the lead when with a woman on February 3.

Neither the man nor his dog were injured.
