Throughout the winter, two senior pupils from Montrose Academy Archive Group have been going to Montrose Museum for their enrichment activity periods.

Shannon Ruddick and Dexter Turriff-Davies (pictured) have learned about the care of objects to museum standards.

They put together a World War One display, with the help of museum staff, from the Montrose Academy archive collection. On display are school magazines, Christmas cards made by the art department and even a piece of lucky white heather, which was found in the pocket of a soldier’s diary.

The display will be at the museum until April 19.
