Last year I think we were tricked into the beautiful sunshine that we had all summer long.In my 25 years on this planet I have never experienced a summer so scorching hot in the UK.
But this year it hasn’t been half as good. Sure, we’ve had the odd sunny day here and there, but it has been scattered among rainy, windy and overcast ones.
I mean it’s not cold, but it definitely isn’t gorgeous like last summer.
At the moment I’m carrying a pair of sunglasses and a brolly in my handbag because I’m not sure which way the weather will turn.
Ladies, I’m sure you can relate to this. I’m not sure what to wear on a daily basis. If I wear boots its warm. If I wear flats it rains and my feet get soaking wet.
I didn’t feel the need to go abroad last year as the weather was so good here in the UK, but this year I am feeling that I need to get away to get a week of sunshine.
Although I’m British born and bread, and I should be used to it by now, I actually hate the cold, rain, wind and snow (I think snow looks pretty for a day or two but then I want it to disappear so I can feel my feet again).
I want to be able to sing ‘The Sun Has Got His Hat On’ every day for the rest of the summer. But it looks like this year we’re getting a typical British summer.
