Whinfield Road to get a new surface

A road in Montrose near the beach and golf course will be resurfaced thanks to a local councillor.

Councillor David May said: “I have been campaigning for a considerable time to get Whinfield Road resurfaced, as over the last few years I have been in contact with Roads Department about the potholes on this road.

“The council officers have ensured that the potholes are filled in, but these repairs are temporary and due to lack of money a more permanent solution was not done.

“My campaigning has led to Whinfield Road now being resurfaced, which will be welcomed by local residents and the large number of people in the area who drive along the road to the beach, as well as to enjoy the nearby facilities, such as the golf course.”
