THE FOLLOWING local pupils of music teacher Mrs Isobel Luke, Brechin, were successful at last week’s Arbroath Music Festival.

Vocal Solo, boys 11 and over - 1 Blair Ruxton (E.R. Dunbar Challenge Cup).

Vocal Solo, girls 12 and under 15 - 1, Ellie Hill (The William Hunter Challenge Cup).

Solo Recorder, Grade 1-2 - 1, Aiden MacFarlane (The Mary Edward Trophy), 2, Lydia Broadley and Alex Pringle.

Solo Recorder, Grade 5 and above - 1, Megan Merino Beattie (Arbroath Festival Trophy).

Solo Recorder, Open - 1, Megan Merino Beattie (Arbroath Festival Trophy).
