five Montrose Academy pupils have distinguished themselves in this year’s Edinburgh Angus Club awards, which were held at the weekend.
They joined senior school pupils from across Dundee and Angus at The Burn House, near Edzell, to receive their prizes.
The club is celebrating its 170th anniversary this year and was formed by Royal Warrant in 1841 with the purpose of supporting Angus students studying at Edinburgh University.
It now awards prizes to senior pupils who have displayed excellence, academically and personally, in Angus secondary schools and in Dundee at Morgan Academy, Harris Academy, Grove Academy and Dundee High School.
The successful Montrose pupils were: Jodi Wilson (Advanced Higher Physics), Graceann Robertson (Advanced Higher French), Sarah Rennie (Advanced Higher music), Aiden Pert (Advanced Higher computing), and Fiona Cuthill (Advanced Higher geography).
