Local Scouts build bivouacs

OVER 50 Scouts from Montrose and Arbroath took part in the District’s annual Scout ‘Frosties’ event, choosing to spend a January night not in a hut or tent but in 11 self-built rustic shelters or bivouacs made mainly from natural materials.

The camp took place at Carmyllie, near Arbroath, when the best bivouac was judged to have been constructed by Montrose Explorer Scouts Callum Henderson and Ewan Lewis, pictured above.
