Love lost and found at Rep

AWARD-WINNING Dundee Rep Ensemble presents The Tempest by William Shakespeare - an epic tale of betrayal, love and truth - at the theatre from Wednesday, June 6 to Saturday, June 23.

Cast adrift with a young daughter, Prospero is put out to sea to perish. Stranded on a distant island for many years, Prospero, played by Dundee Rep Ensemble’s Irene Macdougall, masters and perfects the magic arts. The Tempest is a charged and vivid tale of shipwrecks, dark forces, magic and of love lost and found. A fantastical journey where freedom, friendship, regret and forgiveness, come together in one of Shakespeare’s most popular dramas, believed to be the last play he wrote and regarded by many as his greatest masterpiece.
