ALT.blues troubadour Dave Arcari finishes his June Scottish mini-tour with a special unplugged show at Bank Street Gallery, Kirriemuir on Saturday, June 25 (7pm) before heading for a series of summer festivals and recording sessions in Estonia and Finland.
Over the last few months Arcari has shared the stage with major artists including country/Americana legend Steve Earle and veteran blues-rocker Robin Trower. His new album Devil’s Left Hand is attracting rave reviews and strong radio airplay which are helping him build on previous releases Got Me Electric (2009) and Come With Me (2007).
During the last year Arcari has delighted audiences at the UK’s biggest festival, Glastonbury; Moulin Blues Festival in Holland; Belgium’s Peer Festival (alongside Jeff Beck, Joe Bonamassa and Steve Winwood); BluesAlive in the Czech Republic and Poland and a series of headline shows in Estonia, Germany and Ireland as well as across the UK.
Showcased over six CD releases to date, Dave Arcari’s National guitar-driven alt.blues owes as much to trash country, punk and rockabilly as it does pre-war Delta blues.
With more than 100 UK dates a year plus regular shows in Finland, Estonia, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland and Canada, Arcari is one of the hardest gigging live artists on the circuit. A series of shows along with his relentless UK and European tour schedule have established Arcari as a formidable international solo performer who is fast building a media reputation as a ‘hell-raising National guitar madman’.
Don’t miss him at the Bank Street Gallery, Kirriemuir.
