The Montrose Branch SNP recently held its annual general meeting and the group say it was well attended with “infectious” enthusiasm.

Speakers at the AGM, Nigel Don MSP, Ian Hudghton MEP and Mike Weir MP, set out the priorities for the forthcoming Westminster elections.

Commenting on the AGM, branch convenor Kitty Ritchie said: “Last year’s Referendum result was disappointing, however 2015 sees the branch in rude health, with almost four times the membership, ready to fight on at the Westminster Election in May.

“It was great to see the AGM so well attended and the enthusiasm was infectious.”

The meeting was held at Montrose Sports Centre.

The main office-bearers for 2015 are: branch convener – Kitty Ritchie; vice-convener – Gill Davies; secretary – Theresa Nuemann; treasurer – Kenneth Bruce; woman’s officer – Amy Melvin; organiser – Bill Duff.
