A MONTROSE company has become the first this year to take up a commercial lease from Angus Council.
The authority has just concluded a new lease at Montrose Business Centre, Broomfield Industrial Estate with Biarchi Safety Ltd.
The company specialises in health and safety advice, fire risk assessment, construction, design and management co-ordination, as well as safety coaching services.
Economic development spokesman Councillor David May said: “We are pleased to welcome Biarchi Safety Ltd., to Montrose Business Centre. Montrose Business Centre is a prime location, and will be an ideal base for Biarchi Safety Ltd., to expand and thrive.
“The council will continue to rigorously market its business premises across the county, and support local business to realise their ambitions.”
The firm has moved into Unit 11, giving it a new base from which to operate. The centre is the business’s headquarters, and is the base for three employees.
Craig Birse-Archbold, from Biarchi Safety Ltd., said: “Our new office is ideal for our needs, and I am sure it will serve us well in the years ahead.”
Montrose Business Centre was completed in 2003, and since then has enjoyed high occupancy rates and helped a number of small and new-start businesses establish themselves in the area, reflecting the current high demand for small office and workshop premises in the area. Other tenants at the centre include Loch Duart, Wilco Cabs, Anderson Fire, AB Audio Systems, Red Quartet Ltd and Watt the Butcher.
