Montrose couple Helen and Stewart Clark celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary this month.
They marked the milestone with family and friends at the Park Hotel on Saturday, November 12.
Deputy Angus Provost Alex King and Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Angus Robina Addison also visited to pass on their congratulations to the couple, who received a telegram from Her Majesty The Queen.
Stewart and Helen met in 1954 at the Alexander Bus Group dance in Montrose, which was a yearly event.
They later married on November 10, 1956.
When asked what their secret was to a long and happy marriage, the couple said: “Having a good sense of humour, admitting when you’re wrong, and never going to sleep on an argument.”
