The 137th annual Montrose Flower show held at the Links Hotel for the third year in a row was a “great success”
Kay Lees, secretary of the Montrose Horticultural Society, said: “The flower show has once more been a great success. Entries in the vegetable, fruit and cut flower classes were higher than in previous years, due to the more favourable growing conditions.
“There was a stunning display of pot plants and floral art arrangement and the knitting and craft sections showcased the wealth of local talent and expertise. The relatively new kitchen garden section attracted a good number of exhibitors and the children produced some beautiful work in their section.
