Two young Montrose fund-raisers are extending their Christmas campaign into December.

Ruby Clark and Hannah Swanston decided to donate all the presents from their joint sixth birthday party to Radio Tay’s Cash for Kids Mission Christmas, which gives under-privileged children a gift over the festive period.

The girls had their birthday party on Sunday, November 2. Hannah’s sixth birthday was on November 6 and Ruby turns six tomorrow (Thursday, November 13)

Carole Clark, Ruby’s mum, said: “We want to thank all the girls who came to the party and also their parents for their very generous donations to the appeal.

“We would like to give a huge thanks to Graeme Walker of Montrose Tennis Club who, not only did a fantastic job of entertaining the girls with his tennis games, but who also donated his fee for the party to the appeal.

“Michelle, Hannah’s mum, has bought some more toys from this.

She added: “We have been completely overwhelmed by everyone’s generosity and support at the girls mini-appeal and will still be collecting toys until December.”

Anyone wishing to donate to the girl’s mini appeal can leave presents at the Montrose Review office, 63 Murray Street. The office is open Monday and Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m.

Gifts should be new and unwrapped for a boy or girl aged up to 18.
