Employment law experts from Scottish law firm Thorntons are set to host a series of informative talks providing relevant practical advice for employers in response to recent developments.

The five free events, taking place at venues across Scotland throughout September, aim to keep businesses and local employers up to date with the latest employment news, and discuss forthcoming changes.

Topics covered will include the impact of Brexit on employers, the new apprenticeship levy and the new trade union act.

The experienced employment law specialists at Thorntons will also discuss steps to consider when drafting and revising policies, as well as the status of occupational health reports in cases of disability and whistleblowing cases.

Noele McClelland, partner and head of employment law at Thorntons, said: “These breakfast seminars aim to keep employers updated and as specialists in this field, we can equip them with all the information they need to face the latest industry developments.

“We look forward to welcoming local business people to our seminars and hope they will benefit from the discussions and advice offered.”

The seminars are taking place throughout September in various locations where Thorntons has offices, including Montrose, Dundee, Perth, Kirkcaldy and St Andrews.

The talk in Montrose is set to take place on Wednesday, September 28 at 8.15am.

There are a limited number of places available, for full details of the seminars and to book a space in advance, visit the Thorntons website.
