A walk around Montrose in the moonlight to raise money for a cancer charity returns this April.
And this year organisers are calling for more men to put their best feet forward.
The mOOntrose Night Walk is a 5K or 10K moonlit walk around the streets of Montrose to raise money for Cancer Research UK and is taking place on Saturday, April 30.
This is the second year the charity event has been organised.
Walkers will set off from the Park Hotel, John Street, at 10pm.
Last year, more than 300 people took part in the first event, raising £38691.31.
Alana Loudon, chairperson of Angus Committee for Cancer Research UK, said: “After a very successful first mOOntrose in 2015 we are busy planning the second Cancer Research UK mOOntrose Night Walk and would like to invite men and women to take part.
“We would like to invite anyone interested in taking part to sign up as soon as possible as places are limited.
“While we were delighted with the amount taking part last year we have to note that the amount of ladies taking part far outweighed the male participants.
“So come along men, you are very welcome!
“As well as the walk there is entertainment to start the walkers off and entertainment around the route to keep you going.”
Pert Bruce Construction Ltd have been announced as the 2016 sponsor for the walk.
Alana added: “The committee are very grateful to Jamie Pert and Craig Bruce for sponsoring this event and look forward to making the second mOOntrose event a great success with their support.”
The event is open to everyone over 13-years-old.
