Montrose Port Authority (MPA) has created a new role in a move to drive further growth in both the UK and international markets.
MPA has appointed Andy Ross as business development manager.
The role of business development manager is a new position created by MPA to spearhead new business development and build upon the port’s strong representation in the oil and gas, renewables, agriproducts and breakbulk cargo sectors.
Andy joins MPA from ASCO where he held a number of different managerial roles in the offshore sector over recent years.
Nik Scott-Gray, chief executive of MPA, said: “We are delighted to welcome Andy to this exciting new role at Montrose port.
“His experience and knowledge of the offshore energy and general cargo sectors will prove invaluable as we pursue our ongoing expansion plans.”
Andy said: “Montrose port is strategically located as an important services and logistics hub for the North Sea and is well placed to further develop its diverse customer base.
“I am looking forward to the challenge of developing these new markets and ensure Montrose becomes the port of choice for a growing number of operators in the maritime sector.”
