A young Montrose woman fulfilled a long-life ambition this month by publishing her first book.
Stephanie Stewart (26), who writes under the name S.A. Stewart, published the book on October 4 on Amazon.
‘Alpha Bite: He took her free will. Now she’s fighting back’ is a young adult werewolf romance novel “with a twist”.
The book is the first in a series following 19-year-old Noah Wilson, who after meeting a mysterious guy called Eric in her local gym, is unable to control her growing feelings toward him.
Stewart, a former Montrose Academy pupil, said: “It has always been a dream of mine. I can remember ever since I was in English class at school I wanted to be a writer.”
The author said the book has a moral element which will resonate with young adults.
“There is a message that I think you people will be able to relate to. It is that you don’t have to let people tell you who to be, stand up for what you believe in,” said Stewart.
The book is on sale on Amazon in every country both on kindle and in paperback.
It has been well received with readers leaving reviews of praise on Amazon.
One said: “This is a great story that will have you laughing, falling in love, gasping in shock and desperate to read the next one. If you have a bit of free time then this is definitely the book for you. Will be keeping my eye out for this great, up and coming author.”
Another commented: “What a great book. One of the best I have read in a long time, can’t wait for the next one to come out. The end of this book will surprise you.”
Stewart said: “I can’t believe how many people have left good reviews of the book.”
‘Alpha Bite’ is on Amazon UK for £3.60 on Kindle and £5.80 in paperback.
Stewart is currently writing the second ‘Alpha Bite’ novel.
