A celebration dinner to mark the YM being in Montrose for 150 years has been held.
Robert Ritchie, the YM chairman, opened the proceedings and introduced the top table.
Tony Smith then gave a presentation on the history of the YM in Montrose.
Afterwards there was a three course meal served by the management committee.
The cake was then cut by honorary president Jonathan Stansfeld and YM manager Val Cooper.
Val gave a short talk on the comprehensive role played by the YM in serving the community.
This was followed by an auction which was hosted by this year’s Montrose Citizen of the Year Joe Wishart and the sum of £1700 was raised from all the auction items which were donated.
The evening drew to a close with vice chairman Anne Smith giving a vote of thanks.
A bouquet of flowers was presented to Val Cooper to thank her for all the work she does for those who use the YM.
