New care system

Angus Council has joined the growing ranks of local authorities placing greater emphasis on electronic proof for the provision of home care services

The authority contracts out the service to independent care providers and the new system, eziTracker, will monitor the work of 400 in-house carers and 12 external providers.

The service will provide real-time information on homecare visits, help with carers’ payroll and alert homecare providers if care is not delivered within agreed parameters.

The council expects the system to help improve the quality of care provided to homecare customers and achieve cost savings through operational efficiencies.
