Councillor Bill Duff has received complaints about the number of north-bound train services that do not stop in Montrose.
Three trains a day do not stop, usually when two are timetabled close together, and passengers are asked to change at Dundee or Arbroath. The rail authorities say this ensures efficient timetabling and there are no plans to change.
Mr Duff said: “I’ve been caught out when jumping on to a train and then finding out it does not stop at Montrose, but there seem to be few services that don’t stop here. I would be grateful if anyone wishing to discuss services would contact me.”
