This summer will be the sixth year that Old and St Andrew’s Church has run a Summer Mission and Holiday Club.
Members and friends involved have again been hard at work over the last few months making the arrangements and props for this year’s event.
The title of this year’s Holiday Club is Seaside Rock, for primary school aged children; and Seaside Splashers, for Nursery children, aged three and over.
The children will spend the week in the church hall which will be transformed into the beach - with its very own Scurdieness Lighthouse and a fine weather guarantee - where they will follow the highs and lows of Peter’s friendship with Jesus.
Relatives and friends are also welcome to come along for a cuppa and have the chance to get a bird’s eye view from the gallery, where there are also toddler toys for children who are too young to attend the holiday club, during the week.
There will also be opportunities for all the family to join in at the Family Fun Night and the barbecue at the beach.
A flavour of the activities on offer, which will include singing and games, will be revealed at the 11am service in Old & St Andrew’s on Sunday, July 1, when the youngsters will be given an idea of the tasks ahead of them.
Registration forms have been distributed to all primary schools within the Montrose area and for the first time these can also be completed online at www.oldandstandrews.com
Those who have not yet returned a form can also register in the Church Hall at 10.30am on any morning during the Mission.
