THE SECOND lecture in the 2012/2013 season of the Pictish Arts Society will be given at Pictavia, by Brechin, by Martin Cook, MA, on Friday, November 16.
The title will be ‘The full excavation of a Pictish Barrow Cemetery at Bankhead of Kinloch’.
Martin is project manager at AOC Archaeology Group, managing his own and other colleagues’ projects. In the last two years he has managed the excavations at the site of the Commonwealth Games, but has been mostly working on the Roman forts at Cramond and Camelon.
Doors open at Pictavia at 7 pm for a 7.30 pm start. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be available before and after the talk, which is free to members and £2.50 to non-members.
