Police issue rural break-in warning

Police are advising rural residents and businesses in Angus to consider their security after recent break-ins in the local area.

The incidents included a power washer and chainsaw being stolen from a shed and a break in at a farm in St Vigeans, although the thieves left empty handed.

Lockable gates for service roads and tracks, additional locking systems for buildings, alarms and CCTV for outbuildings are just a few simple measures which can reduce the opportunities for crime.

Property marking systems can also be considered, telephone 01307 475978 for more information.
