Revamped Angus gardens Comp

Montrose Horticultural Society was among organisations represented at a Beautiful Angus Marketplace event in Forfar last week when the new Beautiful Angus Garden Competition was launched.

Councillor Jeanette Gaul, Communities vice-convener said: “Our revamped garden competition will hopefully inspire even more people to add some colour to their communities this summer. This year’s competition is open to council tenants, primary schools and licensed premises.

“If it is creative and colourful it doesn’t matter if your outdoor space is the size of a postage stamp or a playing field! Bright and beautiful planting at pubs, schools and gardens on our streets are the community spaces that we can all be proud of and take pleasure in.”

Joining the council team on the judging panel will be past competition entrants and winners and members of local community planting groups.
