Schools Rock Fest

Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Angus Schools Rock Fest on Saturday, June 15, at Arbroath Academy from 4 to 8.30pm.

Talented young people from all over the county will be performing at the event, which is a partnership between Angus Council and Creative Scotland’s Youth Music Initiative.

There will be a varied style of music from rock, indie and alternative including bands and a soloist.

This year’s line-up includes Evianne Webster, At Her Service, Model Aeroplanes, Unknown On Sunday, Two For Flinching and The Blend.

Professional band Sonnet 65 will make a welcome guest appearance, and the band’s vocalist and electric guitar player Steven Gibbons will be on hand to offer advice to bands.

To reserve tickets and collect on the night call Claire on 01307 473847.

The Youth Music Initiative (YMI) is a Scottish Government-funded project to improve the quality and availability of musical experiences to young people.
