AFTER a coffee morning at the Old Church on Saturday, the Scott Jubilee Refurbishment Fund has edged ever closer to its £20,000 target.
This is the sum needed for refurbishment and the installation of toilets for the disabled at the hall, as well as making a number of necessary design changes.
Organisers send a big thank you to everyone who attended, as well as the Guides who helped serve scones and coffee, and all the parents who baked and helped with the stalls.
A ring was found in the Old Church hall after the event.
Anyone who believes they lost a ring at the coffee morning should contact Linda Watt, Beadle, Old Church, for further information.
The Scott Jubilee committee has also arranged further events: including a Body Shop evening in the Black Abbot on Thursday, November 3, at 7.30pm, and a fashion show in M & Co, High Street, on the evening of Friday, November 25. Admission will be £5.
