Showcase of artists’ work at The Meffan

THE WORK of over 25 artists and craftsmen who are members of the Angus Open Studios is currently being exhibited at The Meffan in Forfar.

The exhibition opened on Saturday and runs until Saturday, October 27.

It has been organised to showcase the work of the various artists and is an exciting mixture of styles and media.

There are exhibits from well-known painters such as Norma Maclean, Kym Needle and Liz Petrie, glass artists, Aileen Ogilvy and Gallus Glass, textile artists Patricia Griffin and Tessa Mendez, jewellers including Michael Kay and Amy Mason and ceramicists such as Maralyn Reed-Wood and Fran Marquis, alongside other mixed media artists and craftsmen like Carole Storm, Issy Valentine and Shona Barr.

There will be a great variety of quality art and craft to view and purchase, and the exhibition can be seen as a ‘taster’ for next year’s open studio event whic will run from May 23 to 27.

This will allow visitors to get an idea of what studios they want to visit.

The exhibition at the Meffan in Forfar, Angus, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. but is closed on Sundays.
