STUDENTS from The Song Shop’s Teenage Theatre Skills class took time out of rehearsals to welcome back former student and teacher Llandyll Gove.
Llandyll has taken part in several Song Shop productions and worked as a dance and drama teacher for several years with The Song Shop and Stagecoach Theatre Arts while studying in Glasgow.
He is currently working professionally as a dancer at Potter’s Holiday resort in Norfolk, but made a whistle-stop visit to Montrose to break the news of his next venture.
He begins rehearsals for the UK tour of ‘Grease’ which opens at the Playhouse Theatre, Edinburgh, on May 9. As part of the ensemble he may at times be required to cover the role of Kenickie and Roger.
The Song Shop students had a brief opportunity to chat with Llandyll who stayed for the rehearsal for ‘Songs to make you Smile’ which takes place at Montrose Town Hall on Saturday and Sunday, March 26 and 27. The show features a vast range of songs and dances ranging from Rogers and Hammerstein to Lady Gaga.
Tickets are available from Henry Hogg Newsagents, High Street, Montrose.
