THE 90th year celebrations of the Caird Hall in Dundee - 1923 to 2013 - continue with a wonderful programme for the spring.
Anton du Beke and Erin Boag return with a brand new show on February 15 - a salute to the Golden years of the MGM musicals with all the most popular tunes of the era which you are sure to know.
For only the second time the Friends of the Caird Hall Organ are staging the Organathon in a truly unique event, on February 23.
For one night only on Thursday, March 21 there is Boogie Nights, the 70s musical in concert. With a star studded cast including The Osmonds - Merrill, Jimmy and Jay - Gareth Gates, Louisa Lytton from EastEnders, Andy Abraham of the X-Factor and Chico, the show also introduces Shane Richie Junior and a full supporting cast of singers, dancers and musicians.
It’s one of the biggest shows touring in 2013 and definitely one not to be missed.
April’s highlights is the Simple Minds Greatest hits Concert which is sold out.
The spring season begins on Thursday, February 14 with the Scottish Ensemble’s La Follia concert.
La Follia means musical madness. This Scottish Ensemble concert, with pieces from across the ages, is guaranteed to have you humming them all the way home.
The music continues with The Scottish National Jazz Orchestra’s concert entitled “Miles Ahead and Birth of the Cool”, featuring special guest Sardinian trumpet master Paulo Fresu.
The concert is on Thursday, February 21.
Miles David was one of the coolest figures in jazz and a constant innovator.
