MORE than 100 people attended a public meeting in Stonehaven on Thursday, to hear the RNLI’s plans to augment cover for the east coast. The charity has plans to establish a trial station with an Atlantic 85 lifeboat.
Many present showed their commitment by expressing their interest in a variety of crew and non-crew roles for the new station.
Paul Jennings, the RNLI’s Divisional Operations Manager for Central Scotland, said: “The RNLI remains keen to hear from anyone who could not be at the meeting. They can contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org”
The RNLI is seeking a crew complement of five helms, 15 crew aged from 17 to 50 years, a mechanic and three plant operators.
