THE DEADLINE for completing the NHS Tayside Better Together patient questionnaire has been extended to May 18.
Better Together is a national patient experience programme designed to give users of NHS Scotland services more of a say to improve the quality of care they receive.
Questionnaires have been sent out to a selection of people who have recently had a stay in one of NHS Tayside’s hospitals and asks about the patient’s experience during the time they were there and how they would rate the service and care they received. Feedback from patients will help to shape the future of health in Scotland.
If you have received a questionnaire in the post and would like help with filling it in, please call the helpline on 0800 783 1775.
Dr Margaret McGuire, nurse director for NHS Tayside and lead for the Better Together project for the Board, said: “Patients have a vital role in shaping the way we deliver care and we would encourage those who have received a questionnaire in the post to complete and return as soon as possible.”
The results of the survey will be made available online later this year and will be used by NHS Tayside to see where things are going well and any areas for improvement.
The Better Together programme was launched in 2009, with the first round of inpatient survey results published in September 2010.
