Team chemistry to the fore for community match

glaxosmithkline Staff will go head-to-head with local emergency services this Wednesday, May 23, in a community football match at Links Park.

With kick-off at 6.15pm, the event will open for the public to go along and show their support.

Entry will be free and staff from Tayside Police, Tayside Fire and Rescue, HM Coastguard, Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and the Scottish Ambulance Service will all be taking part in the game.

The Montrose Emergency Services Community team also took to the field in an exhibition rugby match against Montrose Rugby Club’s first 15 at Union Park in Montrose last Saturday.

Despite it being their first time together on a rugby field, the Emergency Services team played well and kept Montrose RC from crossing their try line for 25 minutes. The experience of the rugby team prevailed in the end, however, and they won the game 55-10.
