One of the most iconic musicals in London’s West End, ‘The Bodyguard’, is to be staged in His Majesty’s Theatre in Aberdeen next year as part of a UK tour.
The sensational award-winning romantic thriller, based on the smash-hit film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner, will begin a two-week run at the city theatre on Tuesday, March 17, 2015.

Currently wowing audiences in the West End, the production tells the story of former Secret Service agent-turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, who is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker - each expects to be in charge, but neither expects to fall in love.
The musical features a whole host of Whitney Houston’s greatest hits including ‘Queen of the Night’, ‘So Emotional’, ‘One Moment in Time’, ‘Saving All My Love’, ‘I’m Your Baby Tonight’, ‘Run to You’, ‘I Have Nothing’, ‘Jesus Loves Me’, ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’ and one of the greatest love songs of all time – ‘I Will Always Love You’.

The production is based on the 1992 film which was the second-highest-grossing film worldwide that year and the soundtrack went on to become the best-selling soundtrack of all time, selling more than 45 million copies worldwide.
