Do you, your family, your business, or an organisation you’re a member of fly the Flag for Angus? Or does one of your friends, your boss – or someone you’ve read about in the press?
Entries are now open for the Angus Ambassador Awards 2012, the annual award scheme which recognises the stars of Angus – the people, businesses and organisations which highlight the very best of our county.
“These awards are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the achievements, ambitions and successes which have happened over the last 12 months throughout Angus,” said the Provost of Angus, Helen Oswald.
The judging panel consists of a specially selected team drawn from local businesses, award partners, elected members of Angus Council and community organisations. Chairing this judging panel, which selects the three finalists in each category and the winners of the Angus Ambassador Awards, is one of the roles of the Provost of Angus.
“I was only appointed Provost in May so this will be my first experience of the Angus Ambassador Awards judging process,” said Provost Helen Oswald. “I am really looking forward to finding out how the nominees are helping to enhance our county’s already excellent reputation and promoting Angus locally, nationally or internationally.“
