MONTROSE’S newest community police officer Tracy Brown (pictured) is back on home ground as she takes up her new duties in the area.

Educated at Borrowfield Primary and Montrose Academy, Tracy began her career on the beat in Montrose and brings with her a wealth of experience gained during subsequent deployments to Tayside Police’s drug enforcement unit, family protection unit and CID.

She later served as a community officer in Arbroath before returning to Montrose where she will work alongside Constable Ally Hutchison.

She said: “There was a restructuring of the community posts throughout Angus and I voiced a desire to come back to Montrose, which is my home town. It was a good opportunity to come back to the community I know and work closely with the local issues.

“Being local, you know the problems people are facing and have a chance to solve them. I’m looking forward to working with our partner agencies and helping the community of Montrose.”
