Yesterday (Monday, May 23) an event to promote safer travel at airports was held at Dundee Airport by Police Scotland.

The event coincided with the launch of the new flight between Dundee and Amsterdam and included officers from Police Scotland’s Border Policing Command who took the opportunity to offer health, travel and security advice to the public as well as highlighting the work they do to keep people safe.

Chief Inspector Paul McDonald of Police Scotland’s Border Policing Command said: “With the launch of this new flight from Dundee to Amsterdam, officers from Border Policing Command were on hand to offer advice to members of the public about personal safety and crime prevention when they travel.

“Safer Travel Days provide an excellent opportunity for raising awareness which will ultimately assist in keeping people safe while travelling.”
