A Carnoustie man is to stand trial accused of a series of sex attacks on a Dundee & Angus College campus.

Jamie Robertson is alleged to have sexually assaulted three women between August 2014 and March this year at D&A College’s campus in Dundee’s Gardyne Road.

Robertson faces eight charges of sexual assault against the three women - and a further two of engaging in sexual communication with two of them at the college.

Robertson, 24, of Dundee Street, Carnoustie, denied a total of 10 charges on summary complaint at Dundee Sheriff Court.

A trial date was set for July 29 with Robertson ordered to appear at a pre-trial hearing earlier that month.

A spokesman for Dundee and Angus College confirmed the institution was aware of the alleged incidents.

He said: “The college has very robust policies in place and we take our duty of care towards staff and students very seriously.”
