Twists and shocks galore

THE COMPANY that brought you J. M. Barrie - Peter Pan Man - Theatre Broad - return to the Webster Memorial Theatre, Arbroath on Tuesday, April 30 with their production of Ira Levin’s Deathtrap.

Deathtrap was one of the biggest hits in the history of Broadway with a highly successful film version, directed by Sidney Lumet, starring Michael Caine and Christopher Reeves. It is an ingeniously constructed play, two-thirds thriller and one third clever comedy. It has gasp-inducing thrills and spontaneous laughter, with twists and shocks until the last minute.

It tells the story of unknown dramatist Clifford Anderson who has sent his new thriller to award-winning Broadway author Sidney Bruhl for comment. But Sidney plots to plagiarise “Deathtrap” and events take a sinister turn.

Theatre Broad is touring all areas of Scotland, from Thurso to Dumfries and Galloway, and will be at the Webster on April 30 at 7.30 p.m. Ticket details from the box office on 01241 435 800 or
