Varied programme

THERE is another varied programme lined up for the Caird Hall, Dundee as detailed in its summer brochure.

From the Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers to Frankie Boyle, 80s Mania to organ concerts, there is something for everyone.

Highlights include the ever-popular Solid Silver 60s Show featuring Peter Noone, Ladies of Country starring Lynn Anderson, Jimmy Carr with his new show Gagging Order and the award-winning Alfie Boe in concert with guests.

Also, don’t miss the opportunity to book now for the main attraction of the autumn/winter programme - Tim Firth’s Calendar Girls, appearing for one week only from Tuesday, November 27 to Saturday, December 1.

It stars Lesley Joseph, Sue Holderness, Ruth Madoc, Helen Fraser, Deena Payne, Kacey Ainsworth and Kevin Sacre as Lawrence the photographer.

Meanwhile the spring programme continues with the Scottish Ensemble on Thursday April 19 with violinist Jonathan Morton.

Their unique programme includes a new arrangement of Claude Debussy’s exotic string quartet.
