Montrose’s beloved lifeboat Moonbeam has been honoured in a video.
Moonbeam was replaced by the RNLB Ian Grant Smith - Scotland’s first in a line of revolutionary lifeboats - in August.
The Shannon-class vessel was out on the Angus waters for 26 years on operational duty before the Ian Grant Smith was launched.
On a summer evening, after filming at Dunnottar Castle in Stonehaven as part of our recruitment campaign, HM Coastguard Angus and Mearns teamed up with the RNLI in Montrose.
A spokesperson for the Coastguard said: “The all weather lifeboat Moonbeam was coming to the end of her service and we wanted to capture her in all her glory.
The video, taken using a drone, also shows Montrose D-Class boat, Nigel A Kenndey.
The footage was produce by Mark Westguard with help from Scott Wallace to put the video together.
