A deluge hit Ferryden in the early hours of this morning (Wednesday, October 7) after the recent heavy rains.
A wave of brown water poured down into the village from the top fields at the back of the houses and streamed though gardens into the road below.
The water in places rose above car wheels and traffic struggled to access the far end of the village.
It appears a build up of leaves prevented the water from draining away.
Council workmen attempted to unblock drains along the affected route using metal spikes but the main Ferryden roundabout was left submerged at points causing vehicles to change lanes suddenly or risk a big splash.
