MONTROSE was gripped by Olympic fever his morning (Tuesday) when the torch passed through the town.
People lined the streets of the route to cheer on the torch bearers and catch a glimpse of the Olympic flame.
In the High Street the atmosphere started to build in preparation of the torch as both schoolchildren and shop workers took a break from their day to witness the lead up to the London Games.
And finally at 15 minutes past 10, the High Street lit up as torch bearer Jim Brown, from Fettercairn came running through.
Mr Brown was chosen as he has spent many years working on the High land Games and is also chairman of the Grassic Gibbon Centre.
Here our video captures the moment the High Street got its first glimpse of the torch.
