Angus voters made their thoughts clear last night (Thursday) when they returned Mike Weir MP with an unmistakable majority.
A total of 67.67 per cent of the Angus electorate turned out to vote, over 44,000 people. Although the SNP might have expected to win the seat, they possibly did not bank on an additional 14.7 per cent of voters on the last General Election to join their ranks, taking Mr Weir’s share of the votes to 54.2 per cent.
