A group of young adult carers have been raising money for Angus Carers’ Centre by staying awake all night.

The young carers raised over £350 to help finance the wide range of events and activities organised for local young carers by the Centre.

To raise the money, the young adult carers themselves organised and participated in a ‘Wake-a-Thon’ over the April 23 and 24, at the Carers’ Centre in Arbroath.

To stay awake through the night, the young carers chatted with Police Scotland officers, played Wii games, held dance-offs, took part in indoor games, indulged in pampering sessions and did their college coursework.

Rations for the event were kindly supplied by Tesco Arbroath, Kenny’s Cafe and Dominos.
