A music event to get you warmed up for annual celebrations of Rabbie Burns will be taking place in Montrose the night before the bard’s birthday.
The Marykirk Raft Race committee is hosting a ‘Warm up to Burns Night’ in Montrose Town Hall on Saturday, January 24, the night before Burns Night, getting under way at 7.30 p.m. when popular local band Heidrum will be playing live.
Kerri Duncan, spokesperson for the committee, said: ”The Marykirk Raft Race committee hope that everyone had a fantastic Christmas and wish you all the best for 2015.
“Heidrum are a toe tappin’, footstompin’, acoustic roots band who can guarantee that everyone attending will have a good night.
“We would like to thank everyone for their continued support and hope to see you all there.’
There will be free stovies available on the night.
All funds raised from the event will go to the charities the Marykirk Raft Race committee supports.
