School holidays are looming and the Old and St Andrew’s Summer Mission will be running during the first week with fun Children’s activities.

The main focus of the Mission Week is the holiday club which, this year, is set in the Wild West.

It will be ‘Wild West Week’ for children who attend primary school and “Wee Wildies” for Nursery aged children (aged 3 and up).

The Bible stories being covered include Jonah and the Whale, The Lost Son and The Good Samaritan.

Although the main focus of the week will be the children’s holiday club, there will be something for everyone.

Relatives and friends are welcome to go along for a cuppa and have the chance to view the proceedings in the Wild West from the gallery where there are toddler toys for children too young for the holiday club.

During the week there will also be many opportunities for all the family to join in, including a messy church taster evening and a family fun day, which will include a barbecue, on Saturday, July 4.

Registration forms have been distributed to all primary schools within the Montrose area and are also available online at www.oldandstandrews.com. Those who have still to return a form can also register at the Church Hall at 10.30am on any weekday morning during the Mission.

Times are: Monday, June 29 to Friday, July 3 from 10.30am to 12.30pm for primary aged children and 10.30 to 11.30am for nursery aged children (aged 3 and above); Saturday, July 4 10.30am to 12.30pm barbecue and family fun day; Sunday, July 5 11am church service with children meeting at 10.30am, followed by lunch in the hall for everyone.
